23 pieces – that mean you will always have something to wear!
This is your base list. I recommend you go through your wardrobe and tick of what you currently have. What you don’t have becomes your list for shopping and is a priority when you spend instead of more of the same ie. another blue t’shirt when you have 3 already.
jeans - 1 x great fitting in a dark wash (this does not mean comfortable, slouchy, faded black)
1 x 3/4 length that can be worn with dress boots
pants – great fitting in a hard wearing fabric like wool, in a neutral color
skirts – 1 x fitted pencil or a-line short skirt (approx. knee length) and 1 x longer (no elastic waists or minis here)
dress – a simple design that is comfortable for the day and can be dressed up for going out.
shirts – 1 x crisp white, 1 x colored and 1 x floaty, feminine
tops - 3 x body skimming (not squeezy tight) in necklines appropriate to your shoulders and bust
knitwear – 1 x sleeveless and 1 x long-line cardigan
jacket – fitted dress jacket in a neutral color that fits well on the shoulders ( a very dressy denim jacket will do)
coat - knee length, solid color in a wool/mix![iStock_000000714942XSmall[1]](http://www.feelgoodstyle.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/iStock_000000714942XSmall11-201x300.jpg)
scarf – long, light-weight, pashmina type in your absolute favourite color
footwear – 1 x ballet pump type flat, 1 x heel shoe and 1 x knee length dress boot
handbag – tote type, in a color you love.
jewellery - a great classic watch (man style is cool) and a signature neck chain
Note – buy the best you can afford, but only buy when you love the item, not just because it’s on sale or you are in a hurry!
